Questions Due Date: Aug 6th 2025, 12:00 PM EDT Online Portal Halifax Health is requesting bid proposals from qualified contractors for the Fire Alarm Phase II Project at the Main Campus, located at 303 N. Clyde Morris Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Anticipated date to post Notice of Intent to Award on the Halifax Health Procurement Portal 5:00 PM September16, 2025 Performance and Payment Bonds: A Performance Bond issued in a sum equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price issued by a surety company considered satisfactory by HH and authorized to transact business in the State of Florida shall be required from the successful Bidder for the purposes of insuring the faithful performance of the obligations imposed by the resulting contract Project Description and Scope of Work 1. Intent: The intent of this solicitation is to seek the services of a qualified Contractor to perform Phase II of the Fire Alarm Replacement Project at Halifax Health’s Main Campus. This includes removing the obsolete Autocall system and replacing it with a Notifier fire alarm system on floors G through 3rd of the Fountain Building, consistent with the existing Notifier systems on floors 4 through 10. The Contractor shall furnish and install all necessary Notifier equipment and accessories, ensure full functionality prior to decommissioning the existing system, and perform all required patching, painting, ICRA compliance, and proper sealing of penetrations to complete the installation to code and hospital standards. Scope of Work: This project involves the removal and replacement of the existing virology hood within the Microbiology and Tissue Processor Laboratory Area located at Halifax Healthand install new specialized laboratory ventilation equipment, perform associated facility modifications, and complete all work with minimal disruption to operations. This is a capital-funded improvement project requiring strict adherence to infection control, healthcare safety standards, and coordination with hospital operations. The work area is an active clinical environment and will remain operational throughout the project. General Scope: The qualified Contractor shall provide a complete turnkey solution, inclusive of all labor, supervision, equipment, and materials required to complete the following: o Remove and dispose of the existing virology hood and associated components. o Furnish and install one (1) Labconco 6' Purifier Logic+ Class II A2 Biological Safety Cabinet with 10" sash opening, UV light, service fixtures, Vacu-Pass portal, and base stand per attached specifications. o Modify existing ductwork and utility connections as necessary to accommodate new equipment. All duct joints must be sealed/welded and airtight. o Remove and replace the roof exhaust fan with a COOK CPS flat blade centrifugal blower, model EF-4. Refer to attached equipment specifications. o Install new exhaust fan duct line above an existing flammable storage cabinet in the Tissue Processor lab area. o Provide electrical modifications, including installation of: o A red light fixture on emergency power to indicate exhaust operation status. o A sensor/monitoring system to alert lab staff when exhaust airflow is compromised. o Replace ceiling tile and grid in areas disturbed by construction. o Perform cosmetic painting of all disturbed wall, door, and frame surfaces. o Demo and replace vinyl flooring in identified areas per attached flooring specification. Execution Requirements: o Coordinate all phases of work with Halifax Health Facilities & Engineering Department prior to commencement and throughout the project. o Maintain cleanliness and infection control protocols at all times. Contractor shall comply with ICRA standards and secure all penetrations per hospital guidelines. o All contractors and subcontractors must: o Pass a background check. o Be badged while onsite. o Wear uniforms or shirts identifying their company at all times Main Campus, 303 N.
