Renovate existing basketball courts, install new basketball support systems and perimeter fencing Work Scope Summary: o Notify Dig Safe o Provide and install sedimentation control o Remove and dispose of existing basketball support systems o Remove @ 160' of galvanized chain-link fencing o Remove @ 50' of 10' black chain-link fence behind basket on Mill St. side of court; dispose of posts and rails; save fabric to re-use o Remove existing telephone pole (no wiring to pole) o Install new True Bounce basketball support systems to be supplied by Town of Burlington Paving: Furnish all labor, material and equipment to remove or pulverize the existing paved surface 49'x139' and two (2) basketball standards and rebuild to the new dimensions of 125'x56' as outlined below: 1. Pulverize or remove the existing paved surface and the two (2) basketball standards. 2. Remove the area where the court is being widened, compact and install 12" of processed stone. 3. Regrade, removing any excess material and compact. 4. Supply and install 2" of hot bituminous concrete binder after compaction. 5. Install the basketball poles per manufacturer's specifications. 6. Supply, install and compact 1-1/2" of dense bituminous concrete finish after compaction. 7. Water test for low areas. 8. Correct any low areas 21 days after paving has been done. 9. Town to accept paving prior to the color coating being done. 0. Install the basketball backboards. 11. Apply two (2) coats of Latexite, or equal, acrylic resurfacer mixed with 5-10 pounds of 50-60 mesh silica sand per gallon of resurfacer and applied at a rate of at least .07 gallons per square yard. Paint color to be determined by Burlington Parks & Recreation. 12. Apply two (2) coats of Latexite combo textured surface. Applied at a rate of a minimum of .05 gallons per square yard. 13. Layout, mask with tape and hand paint, one (1) basketball court and two (2) four squares with a paintbrush using 100% acrylic textured line paint by Dalton. 14. Clean up general work area. 15. Regrade, loam and seed the landscaping damaged by the equipment gaining access to the court. 16. Install the basketball rims, nets and pads. Fencing: The specifications for the fencing are as follows: Install 160' of 6' black chain-link fence along woods with 6 gauge black wire, top and bottom rail and tie into existing fence where applicable Install 50' of saved black chain-link fence behind basket (Mill St. side of court), top and bottom rail
