Demolition, site work and new construction of a fire / police facility in Burlington, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a 39,000-square-foot fire / police facility; for the construction of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
The Scope of Work consists of Demolition of the existing two-story wood and masonry framed Police station building located at 45 Center Street, Burlington, MA 01803 and the construction of a new 39,000+ square foot, two story with a full basement Police Station and all related site work. The new Police Station building will consist of sally port, detention areas including booking area, cells, holding area and other police related spaces such as dispatch, administrative offices, communication equipment room, fitness & locker rooms, meeting room, storage, toilet rooms, firing range and interview rooms. Respondents must be DCAMM certified and meet all requirements noted in the documents. Submissions received after the time and date established herein this notice shall not be accepted or considered, regardless of the cause for delay in the receipt of the submission. Submissions shall not be emailed, mailed, or faxed. The project has an estimated construction cost of $32.9M. Filed Subcontractor categories are: Masonry, Misc. and Ornamental Iron, Waterproofing, Damp proofing and Caulking, Roofing & Flashing, Metal Windows, Glass & Glazing, Tile, Acoustical Tile, Resilient Flooring, Painting, Elevators, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical. The Work consists of constructing a new 2-story Police Station with a basement and is generally described in Division 01 Section entitled Question Deadline 09/03/2025 Requests for interpretation must be submitted by email. Every request for such interpretation should be in writing addressed to the attention of both Mr. Kevin Witzell at Kaestle Boos Associates, Inc, 16 Chestnut Street, Suite 301, Foxborough, MA 02035 at kwitzell@kba-architects.com and Mr. Thomas Downie at CHA, 1 Washington Mall, Boston, MA 02108 at tdownie@chasolutions.com , respectively. prior to the submission of bids must be received no later than 7 business days prior to the date scheduled for opening of bids Simultaneously with his delivery of the executed Contract, the Contractor shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond, in the amount of 100% of the contract amount as security for faithful performance of this contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor and materials under this contract as specified in the GENERAL CONDITIONS OF THE CONTRACT included herein. The surety on such bond or bonds shall be a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the Owner. The bonds shall remain in force for one year after final acceptance of the work by the Owner, unless the Owner, in writing, releases the Contractor from the obligation sooner.
