35 percent AE Design effort for an airfield infrastructure project to remodel Hangar 898 corrosion control hangar supporting F16 aircraft at Holloman AFB NM Questions can be submitted prior to sending the RFQ responses no later than 200pm Mountain Standard Time 29 July 2025 All questions will be compiled and answers will be sent to all interested vendors no later than 5 Aug 2025 Offerors must email questions to the Contract Specialist Vaughn P Cahill at vaughncahillusafmil and the Contracting Officer Sandra M Mata at sandramatausafmil PROJECT DESCRIPTION See attached concept plan for B898 to accommodate the dirtyclean restrooms and other support spaces The work shall include the following A RemodelingReconfiguration of the west side of B898 to accommodate corrosion control personnel and to eliminate contamination from the three paint booths and the abrasive blast room as detailed in UFC 421102 to include Initial Accumulation Points air showers lockershower toilet facilities dirty and clean PPE Laundry and designated Break Area B Provide Initial Decontamination Area at each paint booth and also at the blast room Provide HEPA vacuum for removing accumulations of contaminants from PPE When located in the Hangar Bay this area must be on the clean side ie close to the supply air side and away from the exhaust air side Rework personnel doors to control worker flow and to avoid contamination C Provide walkthrough vestibules with Air Showers to capture contaminants between the Initial Decontamination Areas and the Initial Accumulation Points D Provide Locker Rooms Dirty for male and female workers based on the requirements in UFC 421102 Table 724 Estimated worker count is 9 males and 1 female E Provide Locker Rooms Clean for male and female workers based on the requirements in UFC 421102 Table 723 F Provide PPE Cleaning Room per UFC 421102 Table 713 with hot and cold water laundry sink clothes washer and drier connections G Provide Respirator CleaningRepair Station with sinks and benches H Provide a Break Room per UFC 421102 Table 722 for corrosion control workers Locate this break room on the west side to limit carryover of contaminants I Remove 360 SY of carpeting from the east side of B898 including mezzanine area and replace with Luxury Vinyl Plank LVP flooring This carpet has been contaminated in the past with paint particles J Provide an oilwater separator for the effluent from the B898 Wash Rack per design recommendations in UFC 324001 Chapter 15 K Provide method of collect and treat industrial waste water from showers washing machines and floor drains in west side of 898 to remove hexavalent chromium and other pollutants L Modify HVAC and HVAC controls for the rooms to provide positive ventilation for specified areas relative to the paintingblasting areas and cascading ventilation from clean areas to dirty areas M Modify the wetpipe sprinkler system and the fire alarmmass notification system to accommodate the changes in the B898 floor plan Relocate fire alarm panel and associated equipment from UCC to location outside SCIF Design shall include all civil engineering structural engineering environmental engineering mechanical engineering fire protection and electrical engineering required in completing this project The AE shall adapt government designs drawings specifications and standards as necessary to meet the requirements of this project The AE will have access to the following materials by the government 1 Holloman Air Force Base Installation Facility Standards IFS 2 Holloman Air Force Base Installation Development and Design IDS 3 Holloman Air Force Base Design Compatibility Standard latest version 4 Utility Plans and Maps 5 AsBuilt drawings and photos pertaining to existing building affected to the extent available 6 UFCs and Air Force manuals and regulations 7 Historic Asbestos Containing Material ACM Reports The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time
