Engineer's Estimate: $445,000.00. The major items of work are as follows: Demolition and replacement of the existing structural bridge, mechanical drive, torque tube, and sludge scrapper system for Final Clarier #2. The Work includes horizontal concrete cutting, eld painting of steel structures and equipment, underground electrical and control improvements, salvaging a portion of the existing structure and equipment for the Ownes use, site restoration, and furnishing of safety equipment. A Proposal Guarantee payable to the City of Hastings, in the sum of ve percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, must accompany the Proposal in accordance with the Information for Bidders. The right is reserved by the City of Hastings to accept any Proposal, reject any or all Proposals, and to waive informalities in bidding when it is deemed to be in the interest of the City of Hastings. The work to be performed under this Contract shall be completed on or before October 15, 2026. A. Furnish and install one bridge supported type circular collector mechanism for replacing existing equipment in Final Clarifier #2, which was originally constructed in 1970. B. Circular collector mechanism shall be as manufactured by Walker Process Equipment, Division of McNish Corporation, Aurora, Illinois. The collector mechanism shall be a complete assembly including access walkway, center drive assembly, overload alarm, influent well, torque tube, sludge collector arms, skimmer/scum trough, access stairs, and necessary anchorage parts. C. Each collector shall be designed for installation in the existing concrete tank with an inside diameter of 35'-0" and 12'-0" S.W.D., with a floor slope of 1 inch to 12 inches. The Contractor is responsible for field-verifying dimensions and elevations of the existing clarifier and clarifier mechanism prior to preparation of shop fabrication drawings. The Engineer and Owner have relied on original contract drawings in preparing Drawings and Specifications for this Contract, but do not attest to the accuracy of the information. D. Existing V-Notch Weir Plates and Scum Baffles are to be cleaned, adjusted, and remain in-place.
