The City of Benicia is a general law city located in Solano County. The City of Benicia has a population of approximately 28,000 and a land coverage of 13 square miles. The City is a full-service city and provides a wide range of services. In November of 2024, Benicia residents passed Measure F, a 0.5% sales tax that is earmarked for repairing the City's roads, sidewalks, and storm drains. Measure F allows the City to greatly expand the annual Citywide Pavement Rehabilitation project.
