Restoration of berm and berm trail at Rainbow Beach Provincial Park that was damaged by high water and wave action, trail upgrades, and grading and bank stabilization around the water treatment plant. Work includes but is not limited to: the supply and install of silt curtain/fence, earthwork to raise height of berm to a consistent elevation, grading around the water treatment plant, supply and install of riprap with non-woven geotextile, grading, seeding. This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the Government of Manitoba ("Manitoba"), as represented by the Department of Environment and Climate Change, Parks and Trails Branch ("ECC") to prospective contractors to submit proposals for a berm, trail, and site work reparations at Rainbow Beach Provincial Park as further described in Section 1 of the RFP Particulars (Appendix 3) (the "Work"). The work site location may be partially occupied during construction. Campgrounds will not be occupied during construction; however, there may be day-use visitors frequenting the park. Pedestrian traffic control measures may be necessary during construction of the berm trail and trail. Proponents to bid using the approved product list and/or specifications (which may include US products), however, following contract award the successful Bidders will be required to work with Government and associated consultants to substitute some/all US products (where practical) with those made in Canada and outside of the United States. The products must be equivalent in quality and performance to the originally specified product. Any cost variances shall be substantiated with supporting documentation, including invoices and receipts.
