Respondents should review all information included in this RFQP package to formulate their response, but the project will generally involve the following: 1) Conducting site assessments of selected sites known or perceived to be contaminated. 2) Assisting with community outreach throughout the grant cycle. The consultant shall also provide proof of PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSURANCE which shall insure against acts which are in the nature of professional services performed by architects and engineers. If a contract is entered into, the consultant shall maintain such during the life of the contract. Professional Liability Coverage shall be provided in an amount not less than $1,000,000 per occurrence. The selected firm will be responsible for providing certificates of insurance to the Authority which prove the firm has not less than $1,000,000 coverage for COMPREHENSIVE GENERAL LIABILITY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE and proof of WORKER'S COMPENSATION INSURANCE. The Comprehensive General Liability and Property Damage certificate shall name Marquette County, the Authority, and the EPA, its officers, employees, agents and representatives as additionally insured, without exceptions, and shall carry a thirty (30) day Notice of Cancellation. Proof of insurance as stipulated above shall be provided to the Authority within ten (10) working days of a firm receiving notice from the Authority of intent to enter into a contract. The Marquette County Brownfield Assessment Project is a cooperative venture between the County of Marquette (the "County"), the Marquette County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority (the Authority) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The EPA awarded the County a $400,000 grant for assessment of sites believed to be contaminated. The grant will be managed and administered by the Authority and will be used to fund environmental site assessments of Brownfield sites. Public participation is an integral part of the project efforts to restore these properties to productivity. As part of this process, the Authority is issuing this Request for Qualifications & Proposals (RFQP) from qualified firms to conduct a substantial portion of the work scope of the EPA Brownfield Assessment Grant. All proposals will be reviewed by a review committee. The committee will rank the proposals submitted by the firms and recommend a firm for selection to the Authority. The Authority reserves the right to reject or waive any irregularities in the proposals. Project Period : Approximately October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2029. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
