Scope of Work of the Contract Documents includes the following: Paving and appurtenances. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid bond or a certified or cashier's check,acceptable to the Owner, in anamount not less than two percent (2%) of the total amountBid, as a guarantee that thesuccessful bidder will enterinto the Contract Documentsand execute the Bonds on theforms provided and providethe required insurance certificates and Bonds within seven(7) days after the date Contract Documents are receivedby the successful bidder. If a certified or cashier's checkis provided, the successful bidder shall deliver, at the bidopening address, the originalcertified or cashier's checkwithin one (1) business dayof receipt of the bid opening. By submitting a Bid, bidderacknowledges and agreesthat the Contract Documentsmay be accepted, executedoragreed to through the useof an Electronic Signature, asdefined by and in accordancewith Owner's Electronic Signature Rules for ConstructionContracts. The Owner reserves the rightto reject any or all Bids and towaive all defects and irregularities in bidding or biddingprocess except the time forsubmitting a Bid. The successful bidder, if any, will bethe responsible bidder, whichin the Board's judgment willbe most advantageous to theDistrict and result in the bestand most economical completion of the Project. The requirements of Subchapter J, Chapter 552,Government Code, mayapply to this Bid and thebidder agrees that the Contract Documents can be terminated if the bidder knowingly orintentionally fails to comply with a requirement of that subchapter Bidders desiring further information or further interpretation of any part of the Contract Documents are hereby obligated to submit a written request for such information to Engineer not less than seven (7) calendar days before the Bid opening.
