Renovation of a municipal facility in Crown Point, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Scope of Work includes the removal and replacement of original wood sash windows with wooden framing and glass block within existing openings, tuckpointing of damaged opening and various interior walls and columns and replacement of windows with argon filed, low-e simulated divided light aluminum storefront units as indicated in the drawings prepared by DLZ Indiana, LLC. BID SECURITY: As identified in County Form 1, Section VIII (D). Bid security shall be made payable to the Board of Commissioners of Lake County, Indiana, as follows: Any person, firm, or corporation who submits a proposal and has a principal place of business in the State of Indiana MUST submit a BOND in the amount equal to five percent (5%) of their total bid amount for offers over one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000.00). Any person, firm, or corporation who submits a Bid and DOES NOT have a principal place of business in the State of Indiana MUST file with their bid a CERTIFIED CHECK, BANK DRAFT, CASHIER'S CHECK, or MONEY ORDER issued by a financial institution insured by an agency of the United States, made payable to "The Board of Commissioners of the County of Lake, State of Indiana." All certified checks of unsuccessful bidders shall be returned upon selection of a successful bidder. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Contract Performance and Payment Bonds for 100% of their contract amount within ten (10) days after award of the contract. Bonds shall be maintained in accordance with IC 36-1-12-13.1 and 36-1-12-14. Bonds shall be in full force and effect for a period of at least 12 months after the date of final completion of the Contract. Should the contractor's bonding company give notice of cancellation; the contractor will be responsible for securing new bonds prior to termination. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or irregularities therein, to delete any bid item or items and to award a contract on the proposal that in their judgment is most advantageous to Lake County.
