All work for this Project will be under a single prime contract with the Owner based on bids received as defined in the Project Manual and Contract Documents. All references to Bids , Bidding or Bidders within the construction documents shall equate to Quotes , Quoting and Quoters for compliance with the Lake County purchasing ordinance. Scope of Work includes the repair, replacement, tuckpointing, and parging of the western wall of the central bay of the Meeker Hall building including the removal of two interior existing stormwater collection boxes, downspouts and roof trough construction and installation of new roof saddle the full depth of the building incorporating EPDM membrane installed over tapered insulation on new roof decking over saddle framing with two new commercial style roof drains with overflows piped to new cast iron downspouts and connected to the building s underground drainage piping with new concrete slab infill at underground connection locations and minor roof repair as indicated in the drawings prepared by DLZ Indiana, LLC. All bids must be submitted on prescribed State Board of Accounts Form No. 96 together with DLZ Bid Form in Section 00 41 13, and all the proper forms included in the specifications, the entire set of which shall be filed intact as a bid. B idders must submit their Employer Identification Number on the Bid Form. In the absence of an E.I.N. they must submit their Social Security Number. Bids may be held by the Board of Commissioners for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of bid opening; no Contractor may withdraw their proposal within that time. The Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive technicalities or irregularities therein, to delete any bid item or items and to award a contract on the proposal that in their judgment is most advantageous to Lake County Representatives of the Owner and Architect will be present to discuss construction sequence, bidding requirements, Contractor work and storage areas, and requirements for Contractor s personnel.
