Site work for a water / sewer project in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The estimated project cost is $5 million. The project generally consists of the rehabilitation of the North (230') and South (310')Jetties of Oak Bluffs Harbor. Each of theentrance channel jetties extend from theharbor limit at the shoreline eastward intoNantucket Sound. The proposed work willinclude removal and disposal of the existing stone jetties and the construction of aconcrete foundation at the end of the NorthJetty for a U.S. Coast Guard installed Aid toNavigation Light Tower. Liquidated damages of $500.00 per daywill be assessed if the work has not beencompleted in accordance with the provisions of the Contract within the time specified (as extended by any authorized extension of time granted in accordance withthe Contract provisions). Each Bid must be accompanied by a Biddeposit, in the form of a Bid Bond, cash,certified check, or a treasurer's or cashier'scheck issued by a responsible bank or trustcompany, payable to the Town of OakBluffs in the amount of 5% of the Bid. Bids are subject to the provisions of M.G.L.Ch. 30, Sect. 39F, G, H and M inclusive.Wages are subject to minimum wage ratesas per M.G.L. Ch. 149, sections 26 to 27Dinclusive. The Town of Oak Bluffs reservesthe right to waive any informalities in or toreject any and all Bids if it is in the public interest to do so.
