Renovation of a fire / police facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.

Reference Number 0000299028 Question Acceptance Deadline Aug 05, 2025 01:00 AM EDT GOC6644642 Room 104 Infloor Heating Replacement The intent of this project is to replace the pex heating lines in the floor of Room 140 with new. This would require the concrete floor to be demo'd, clean up the existing base and address any visible deficiencies, installed new heating loops, vapour barrier and insulation, tie them into the heating manifold, test for leaks, pour new approx 6" concrete to cover, and seal the concrete to assist keeping vehicle fluids from damaging the surface. Room 140 is approximately 347 square feet. All chemicals and filters required for the operation of the heating lines will be required as part of this project. As per RCMP policy outlined in PMM 3.3 Building Standards and Guidelines ("Unclassified Version"), the Fit-Up Standards will be applied to all detachment construction, renovation, retrofit and rehabilitation projects. Please refer to Property Management Manual Fit-Up Standards Section 8 - Garage Secure Bay. Perform an inspection of the existing system and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements, including the potential installation of isolation valves and other upgrades. The client has also requested the addition of a floor drain or catch basin with a grate. Additionally, ensure that the new concrete floor is properly sloped to direct water or melting snow toward the drainage system. GOC6647304 Exterior Roof Upgrades The intent of this project is to complete exterior roof upgrades. The district office detachment is 1489 square meters. The exact requirements will need to be provided to BGIS by RCMP MB Asset Management. As per RCMP policy outlined in PMM 3.3 Building Standards and Guidelines ("Unclassified Version"), the Fit-Up Standards will be applied to all detachment construction, renovation, retrofit and rehabilitation projects. Roof B remains the primary area of concern due to recurring leaks despite having been replaced a few years prior. A detailed inspection of this section shall be undertaken to ascertain the root cause of the water infiltration and to develop recommendations aimed at preventing future leakage following replacement. The roof was replaced in 2022 as per our records. However, a separate contractor has advised BGIS that Roof Section B requires replacement again. A comprehensive inspection of the entire roofing system-not limited to Section B-should be conducted to accurately assess its condition and determine the appropriate course of action. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com
