Renovation of a fire / police facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Design plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
GOC6647400 Boiler Replacement - Replace the existing cast iron sectional boiler which is past its lifecycle; all system (electrical, controls, piping, venting, etc). GOC6645240 Mid-Life Reno - Renovate the office area and washrooms (excluding any upgrades to cell blocks) to improve the workspace and refresh the washroom facilities. LED lighting, new flooring, fixtures. GOC6644423 Armory Relocation - Build a new armory (police equipment room) in the detachment for the safe and secure storage of all police operational equipment. Since this requirement is very specific and the guidelines for the fit-up have been pre-determined by the RCMP, a consultant's involvement would be required to ensure that those requirements are met by the contractor and the installation functions as intended. The room identified for the new armory is Room 1 as per the Detachment's Floor Plan. TIMELINE: An RFP for design has been awarded. Tenders may be issued separately in the future.
