The BCTC - New CL RM BLDG will be for the construction of a new four-story, 87,352 gross square foot facility on the Bluegrass Community and Technical College Newtown Campus in Lexington, Kentucky. The project will have 2 phases. This advertisement is for Phase 1 of the project and will consist of; earthwork, storm drainage, erosion control, installation of new site utilities (storm, sanitary, gas, and water), demolition of existing site utilities (lighting circuits, communications, rework of Kentucky Utilities primary fees, and associated pad mount junction point), general requirements and LEED requirements for early structural steel framing, concrete foundations and slab-on-grade, and structural steel framing. A bid security in the form of a Bid Bond or Certified Check for five percent (5%) of the bid amount including all alternates is required to be submitted with the official form of proposal. The bid security shall be made to Trace Creek Construction, Inc. A 100% performance and payment bond shall be provided for the full base bid amount plus any accepted bid alternate(s), upon receipt of a Notice of Award. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. Clerical errors and omissions in the computation of the lump sum bid shall not be cause for withdrawal of bid without forfeiture of bid bond. Bids may be withdrawn in person only, prior to the closing date for receipt of bids. Trace Creek Construction, Inc. reserves the right to accept and/or reject any bid deemed to be in the best interest of Trace Creek Construction, Inc. and the Kentucky Community and Technical College System in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky.
