Site work for a water / sewer project in Sylvan Lake, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Pier Upgrades The existing pier is located at the intersection of 50th Street and Lakeshore drive. It is a large recreational area that is used for activities such as beach volleyball, fishing and Town events. The pier has a boardwalk at the end as well as 3 concrete staircases. The Town is looking to remove the existing boardwalk and replace with precast concrete sections to ensure a lasting durable pier edge. The scope of work is to include the following: Removal of existing boardwalk including decking, framing, piles, heavy timbers and any accessory materials for the new precast sections Supply and installation of a drainage layer below the new precast which will direct water back into the lake; this will include removals as necessary and any piping Supply and installation of precast concrete to create durable lakefront walkway; precast panels to be 600mm wide, 12mm gap between panels; panels to overhang sheet piling by 100mm and be 8' long Supply and installation of ancillary materials required to complete installation of concrete panels Disposal of all materials from site Provisional pricing for supply and installation of fishing rod holders The existing pier stairs are unusable in their current condition as they have experience heaving and no longer sit level. The Town is looking to remedy this to create usable steps that are safe for the public. The scope of work includes the following: Removal of existing staircases and material as required for installation of new staircases Supply and install new staircases complete with foundation/retaining walls/etc. to ensure a stable and usable safe staircase Disposal of all materials from site Accessible Ramps In 2020, the Town completed a Lakefront Usage Strategy that identified a lack of barrier free access to the lake. To improve access to the lake for all users, the Town is looking to install 2 barrier free access ramps - the first at 46th street and the 2nd at 42nd street. The scope of work for the ramps includes: All excavation and removals for ramps Supply and installation of ramp materials Cutting/modifications to sheet piling to accommodate ramps 30m of accessible beach matting (2 x 15m sections) Ramps must meet all national and local code requirements and comply with the authority having jurisdiction Documents can be obtained from https://sylvanlake.bidsandtenders.ca/ No submitted bids.
