Demolition and site work for a road / highway in Blackshear, Georgia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a road / highway; and for site work for a road / highway.
The work under this Contract will consist generally of the following: Clearing, demolition, haul, and disposal within the ROW for a new road alignment, including erosion control measures, and construction and compaction of dirt roadway, +- 4,050 SY of compacted dirt roadway, and all other necessary appurtenances for a complete job. All work on the Project must be completed within 150 consecutive calendar days of date of notice to proceed. No bid will be considered unless sealed and filed with Pierce County prior to the time set forth above, and accompanied by a Bidder's Bond, payable to Pierce County for 10 percent of the amount of the bid; to be forfeited as liquidated damages in the event that the bid be accepted and the bidder fail to enter promptly into a written contract and furnish the required Payment Bond and Performance Bond and Insurance Certificates. Bids arriving after the designated time will be returned unopened. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of bids. Pierce County, reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to overlook and/or disregard informalities or irregularities in the proposals.
