This is a service / maintenance or supply contract in Seattle, Washington. Contact the soliciting agency for additional information.
The City of Seattle is seeking a vendor to supply essential equipment for our on-street parking space reservation system. The equipment the City needs includes temporary magnetic signposts, which are designed to display parking restriction signs effectively. These posts must be compatible with the City's existing system (Gorilla Post Systems) and are crucial for communicating temporary parking restrictions to motorists in our paid parking areas. In addition to the temporary magnetic signposts, the City also requires base plates and a removal tool. The base plates are 5-inch diameter steel plates that securely anchor the signs to various surfaces, ensuring stability and visibility. The removal tool is specifically designed for safely and efficiently removing the magnetic signs from their base plates, maintaining operational flexibility. The vendor should be able to provide products that are fully compatible with the City's existing inventory of base plates, temporary magnetic signposts, and signs. These products should be available on an as needed basis, as they are essential for the proper signage and designation of reserved spaces in our 12,000 on-street paid parking spaces. The selected vendor will play a vital role in supporting our curbspace reservation platform, which allows individuals, such as construction contractors, to temporarily reserve parking spaces for staging and construction use on paid parking blocks. The City recently had a contract for Gorilla Posts Parking Space Reservation Equipment with Pacific Cascade Corp (City of Seattle Blanket Contract 1820). The City is returning to the marketplace to establish a contract for Magnetic Parking Space Reservation Equipment (Gorilla Post Systems or Approved Equal). The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) is intended to be the primary user of this new contract. However, other City departments may use the contracts. In the past, SDOT has had a single contract for the products and usage has totaled approximately $90,000 per year. SDOT anticipates similar usage for the new contract. This contract shall be for five years, with one two-year extension allowed at the option of the City. The Vendor may provide a notice to not extend, but must provide such notice to the City at least 45 days prior to the renewal date. Deadline For Questions: August 25, 2025, 5:00pm
