2025 Madison County Winter Trail Maintenance Service for designated public trails managed by the County Parks and Recreation Department. The selected contractor shall be responsible for the winter maintenance of approximately miles of multi-use trails, including but not limited to: o Clearing Trails, to clear trail widths to Forest Service Standards for Class 4 snowmobile trails groomed with a snowcat o Location, trails throughout the northern end of the Big Hole Mountains in Southeastern, Idaho. Includes two ranger districts of the Caribou Targhee National Forest (Palisades and Teton Basin) as well as public land in Madison and Teton Counties. o Hazard mitigation, (e.g., fallen trees, washouts) o Trailhead maintenance, including parking areas o Reporting and documentation, of maintenance activity Detailed specifications and trail maps are provided in Appendix A. o Licensed and registered to do business in the State of Idaho o Demonstrated experience in winter trail or road maintenance o Ability to respond to service needs within 24 hours o General Liability and Workers' Compensation Insurance o Valid Idaho driver's licenses for all equipment operators Services will begin on or about August 2025 and extend through June 30, 2026, with no option to renew. The County reserves the right to terminate the contract with 30-day written notice. The County reserves the right to reject any bid that does not meet specifications or demonstrates inadequate qualifications or experience.
