**As of October 2, 2025, the project was awarded to Insituform Technologies USA but the awarded amount is not available** The City of Wheaton is soliciting competitive bids to furnish and install cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) within the City of Wheaton's sewer collection systems. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and services necessary for traffic control, cleaning and television inspection of sewers to be lined, bypass pumping and/or diversion of sewage flows, CIPP installation (including installation in easements), reconnection of service connections, sealing of all sanitary sewer main to service lateral connections with chemical grout, final television inspection of the lined sewer mains, warranty work, and all other materials, equipment, and procedures necessary to complete the work specified herein. Project Description A. This Specification covers all work necessary to furnish and install cured-in-place pipe (CIPP) within the City of Wheaton's sewer collection systems. The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, and services necessary for traffic control, cleaning and television inspection of sewers to be lined, bypass pumping and/or diversion of sewage flows, CIPP installation (including installation in easements), reconnection of service connections, sealing of all sanitary sewer main to service lateral connections with chemical grout, final television inspection of the lined sewer mains, warranty work, and all other materials, equipment, and procedures necessary to complete the work specified herein. Section 102 Scope of Work A. The project includes installation of CIPP within various existing sanitary and storm sewer mains and all related and ancillary work. The following table provides a summary of length of sanitary and storm sewer main to be lined, broken down by diameter and type. Estimated Sewer Main Rehabilitation Quantities Pipe Diameter (in) Total Length (ft) Sanitary 10 450 12 170 15 890 Storm 8 620 10 1400 a. The total estimated linear feet to be rehabilitated with a CIPP liner is approximately 3530 feet. The total estimated sewer main to service lateral connections to be reinstated is 43. The total estimated protruding taps to be removed is 1. B. All sanitary sewer main to service lateral connections, including at least 36 inches up each service lateral, are required to be sealed with chemical grout after installation of CIPP liners. The total estimated sewer main to service lateral connections to be grouted is 7. C. Sanitary sewer pipes require installation of Hydrophilic End Seal Sleeve, as manufactured by LMK Technologies or approved equivalent, at each end of the sewer main to be rehabilitated. a. Storm sewer pipes do not require Hydrophilic End Seal Sleeves. D. Any point repairs required for the installation of the CIPP liner will be performance
