The City of Wheaton is seeking proposals from qualified professional engineering firms to provide comprehensive engineering design, permitting assistance, bid assistance, and construction oversight services for utility improvements related to a proposed vacation of Willow Avenue between West Street and Wheaton Avenue. This project specifically involves the replacement of an existing 8-inch sanitary sewer main and active connections, the replacement of an existing 12-inch cast iron water main, and the disconnection and abandonment of a 6-inch water main, including the re-connection of all affected water services to the new 12-inch water main. It is the intent of the City to hire a single highly qualified consultant that can provide the following services: o Project Management o Preliminary and Final Professional Engineering Design Services o Environmental Compliance and Permitting o Bid Assistance o Construction Oversight. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
