The expansion of Concourse A hold room area and construction of an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)-compliant emergency exit ramp will increase safety and capacity to accommodate Eugene Airport's growth. The existing Concourse A hold rooms offer 7,756 square feet of seating space and are undersized for the current fleet mix. This project will add approximately 5,400 square feet to the currently underutilized connector bridge, and will act as a central, shared seating space serving all the Concourse A gates. In addition to seating, this expansion will allow for the construction of an ADA emergency exit ramp from the airside. Currently, ADA access is through a single public area elevator. Providing a non-mechanical option for exiting the building from the airside would improve accessibility for all passengers. This project will also include ADA Gender Neutral Restroom Upgrades to all restrooms on the first and second floors, ADA Carpet replacement on both the first and second floors, Adult Changing Room upgrades, addition of a Sensory Room, and some remodeling of adjacent spaces. This project enhances safety by providing accessible pathways for individuals with disabilities, ensuring quick and efficient evacuation in case of emergencies, and reducing crowding. As of July 31, 2025, The project is include in the City's 2026-2031 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
