University Park Renovation 900117 This project includes renovation and general construction of a neighborhood park in the South University neighborhood of Eugene, at the intersection of E. 24th Avenue and University Street. The scope of work for this contract includes demolition, earthwork and grading, utility installation, including stormwater, electrical, and potable water line, concrete flatwork, pedestrian lighting, playground area construction, fencing, site furniture installation, planting and irrigation. The project includes partial reconstruction and striping of an existing basketball court. This park is historically significant to the neighborhood and includes large mature trees, as well as a ballfield, shelter and restroom to be preserved during construction. All work must be completed by May 1, 2026 per Special Provision 00180.50(h) The City may reject any bid not in compliance with all prescribed public bidding procedures and requirements, and may reject for good cause any or all bids or to waive any specification or requirement upon a finding of the City that it is in the public interest to do so.
