As of September 30, 2025, project is awarded. Eugene School District 4J is requesting electronic Proposals from firms licensed in Oregon to provide engineering consulting and sub-consulting services as needed for the design and construction of split-system heat pump retrofits at multiple elementary and middle schools. The goal of the project is to provide full or partial cooling in classrooms and also in selected other spaces at each school. 4J has previously commissioned a predesign study to form an initial basis for planning and estimating purposes. The results of the study will be attached to the RFP as Attachment A, which is intended to provide an initial basis for the Scope of Work involved in this project. It is noted that modifications to the recommendations and findings of that study may be needed, to reflect new information that may come to light as the design team begins the detailed design process at each school site. The District reserves the right, without prejudice, to reject any or all Submittals for good cause, if it is determined to be in the best interest of the District, or for non-conformance with public contracting procedures. All Submitters are required to comply with Oregon Revised Statutes and District Board Policy. Submittals will not be accepted from Submitters who fail to certify to non-discrimination in employment practices or identify resident status.
