The DC Department of General Services- Capital Construction Services (DGS-CCS) is the implementing agency for the District of Columbia Capital construction project for the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Training Academy. MPD is 24 hours, 7 days a week operation. DGS, on behalf of MPD is completing Entry Gate replacement at MPD Training Academy located. DGS is hereby soliciting services from a qualified firm (Contractor) to work closely with the DGS-CCS Project Manager (PM) to provide Construction Services to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) Training Academy listed in the SOW. This selected Contractor shall work not more than 40 hours per week between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. unless otherwise directed by the DGS PM. DGS shall provide written notification to Contractor when hours outside of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. are required and proceed with written approval from MPD and DGS PM. All testing required onsite will be scheduled in advance by DGS PM with the Contractor. A list of all workers will need to be sent prior to any work beginning. The term of the Contract shall be from the date of the CO execution through September 26, 2025 (Substantial Completion Date). Final Completion shall be no later than October 24, 2025 (Final Completion Date). The prospective Bidder shall submit questions through the DGS portal using the link. Scope Of work The scope of work requires the satisfactory completion of the Project as outlined in the specifications contained therein for the MPD Training Academy Entry Gate Replacement. The work shall be performed in accordance with this Section C - Scope of Work Statement (Attachment A). In particular, the Contractor shall coordinate the construction work with MPD. The Contractor shall comply with all the regulations and code requirements that are applicable and as specified to District building construction. It shall be the responsibility of the Contractor to review all existing documents and conduct site visits to ascertain existing conditions.
