construction services for Storage Facilities at 300 North Boulevard, Kingsford, Ml 49802. The project primarily includes the construction of two (2) unconditioned storage buildings on the DIISD Technical Education Center campus. The first building shall be a 1,200 square foot conventional wood frame structure with covered exterior storage on either side, intended to house building supplies for the Building Trades instructional space nearby. The second building shall be a 1,440 square foot conventional wood frame structure, intended to house fleet vehicles and for general storage. Each building shall be constructed on frost-protected shallow foundation system with a thickened edge monolithic slab. Each building will have minimal service for power, lighting, and drainage with little-to-no interior finishing. Dickinson-Iron Intermediate School District (DIISD) reserves the right to accept or reject all bids at its sole discretion. A. Contractor shall design, furnish, and install in-slab garage-style floor drains for both storage buildings as noted in the drawings. B. Floor drains are not intended for any purposes other than storm and melt water discharge to the buildings' exterior via gravity, daylighting to low-traffic graded areas of the site adjacent. A. Contractor shall design, furnish, and install all power, lighting, controls, conduit, and/or miscellaneous scope as it directly pertains to the expertise of a licensed electrician. B. Contractor, as allowed as design-by-installer, shall determine the means, methods, and code requirements to meet the general function requirements as described in the Contract Documents. C. Contractor shall utilize existing panels, equipment, or other electrical facilities in adjacent DIISD building(s) to the extent deemed most appropriate and cost-effective to the Owner. D. Where exact specifications, products, or equipment are not provided within the Contract Documents, the intent of the Owner and Architect are to be interpreted as open to products or equipment specified by the Contractor which provide for basic functionality at the lowest cost. E. Where the Contract Documents as drawn and/or written conflict with code requirements or the recommendation of the designer, the Contractor shall notify the Architect and recommend remedy, alteration, or compromise.
