The Palm Desert Housing Authority (“Housing Authority”) is requesting proposals from qualified firms (“Proposers”) for HA Commercial Pool and Spa Maintenance (“Services”) to establish a Two Year Maintenance Agreement ("Agreement") with the option to renew for three additional years. The Authority is requesting proposals to provide: Pool and Spa Maintenance and Repair Services for several of the Authority affordable residential properties (“Properties”) throughout the City of Palm Desert. A list of pools and spas are described in Attachment A. The successful Proposer shall provide all necessary management, supervision, labor, training, parts, tools, equipment, materials, vehicles, and supplies required to provide the Services as defined in the RFP and consistent with generally accepted practices. The successful Proposer must possess the necessary contractor license, C-53 Swimming Pool Contractor, to perform the Services at the time of award. Proposers must examine the sites and become acquainted with all conditions affecting the work and Services required. In submitting a proposal, Proposers warrant that they have made such site examination as they deem necessary to determine the condition of the site, its accessibility to material, workmen and equipment, and to determine the proposer's ability to protect existing surface and subsurface improvements. The City Council of the City of Palm Desert ("City Council") has determined that there is a need for a housing authority within City limits. Consequently, the Housing Authority was established. The Housing Authority is a public agency functioning as a separate legal entity from the City whose objective is to serve and promote the welfare of its residents. The members of the City Council constitutes the governing body of the Housing Authority, which is known as the "Authority Board". The Authority Board meets every second and fourth Thursdays of the month at Palm Desert City Hall, which is located at 73-510 Fred Waring Drive.
