Renovation of a military facility in Silverdale, Washington. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
The Bacnet protocol is not capable of the same distance and number of controllers the current design can hold. The project will establish new system boundaries to minimize the Cyber Security gaps and intrusion to provide a robust and secure system. Within these system boundaries the new Bacnet communication bus will be configured into smaller and more secure Bus'. To make this happen, there would need to be run to different parts of the building to create smaller and more secure networks that would in turn create more stable and reliable networks. The project will establish new Cyber communication from the JACE on the second deck of the building to HVAC-10, The Chillers and the Boilers as well. This would be 3 separate communication points that would segment the 1st Floor of the building into 3 separate Bacnet/IP networks. For the 2nd deck, suggest adding 2 more controllers. This would create a total of 5 Secure Bacnet/IP networks, each of these networks would be able to be managed and secured with Pentagon Level security and reliability. 100% set-aside for 8(a) businesses located within SBA Region X which consist of \nAK, ID, OR, & WA Project Description The work includes renovation of the JACE sytem, electrical, and mechaincal and incidental related work. Location The work is located at building 7000 Bangor Base, WA, the exact location will be shown by the Contracting Officer. 1.3 EXISTING WORK In addition to FAR 52.236-9 Protection of Existing Vegetation, Structures, Equipment, Utilities, and Improvements: a.
