Site work for a water / sewer project in Avonlea, Saskatchewan. Design plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The Avonlea Dam is an earthfill, embankment dam located approximately 60 km southeast of Moose Jaw, SK and about 1.6 km south and 3.2 km east of the Village of Avonlea, SK. The riprap at Avonlea has been the subject of recent engineering studies including a dam safety review (DSR). While there are no serious observable erosion issues with the riprap, the existing does not meet the industry standards for size and depth in many locations. WSA would like to remove some risks noted in the latest DSR by upgrading the riprap and making other improvements at Avonlea. TIMELINE: Planning and design work to commence shortly. Construction start is currently planned for the third quarter of 2026.
