Renovation of a fire / police facility in Tahoe City, California. Working plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
**As of August 15, 2025, no bids received. No definite date for the rebid.** Obtain reroof permit from El Dorado County and TRPA (if applicable) Remove existing roofing, underlayment, flashing, debris and dispose of properly Minor repair work plywood roof sheeting if necessary Remove siding and trim at walls where new flashing is to be installed Provide and install Grace HT ice and water shield entire roof and applicable walls Provide and install all new roof vent jacks, drip-edge and all necessary flashing to match roofing Provide and install Certain Teed Landmark Pro asphalt shingles (approx. 2,650 sq/ft color TBD) Provide and install Torch-Down roof system on flat roof Reinstall removed siding and trim on walls Remove all debris from the premises No bid will be considered unless it is made on the form provided and accompanied by a certified check, cashier s check, or bidder s bond by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California for 10% of the amount of the bid, made payable to NTFPD . The above-mentioned check or bid bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder executes the Contract, if it be awarded to him or her, in conformity with the Contract Documents. If a bidder s bond is used, the bond shall be conditioned such that the bidder will pay NTFPD as liquidated damages the amount specified in the bond unless it enters into a contract in accordance with its bid. NTFPD has determined that the Contractor shall possess a valid C-39 Roofing Contractor license and if applicable a General Engineering Contractor license at the time that the Contract is awarded. Failure to possess the specified license(s) shall render the bid as non-responsive and shall act as a bar to award of the Contract to any bidder not possessing said license at the time of the award. Within 15 days after notification of the Award on Contract, the successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price. Said bonds shall be secured from a Surety Company satisfactory to NTFPD. The bidder and subcontractor(s) must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5. The bidder or subcontractor(s) may not be awarded the Contract unless registered as noted above. The bidder must comply with all prevailing wage laws applicable to the Project, and related requirements contained in the Contract Documents. In accordance with California Labor Code Section 1773.2, NTFPD has determined the general prevailing rates of wages applicable to the work to be done. These rates are set forth in a schedule located at the NTFPD office; said schedule is available to any interested Party on request. The Contractor shall post a copy at the jobsite. Pursuant to Section 22300 of the Public Contract Code of the State of California, the Contract will contain provisions permitting the successful bidder to substitute securities for any moneys withheld by NTFPD to ensure performance under the Contract. The NTFPD reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid received, to be the sole judge of the bid, and to accept any bid that it determines to be in its best interest.
