No definite date for the rebid.** 2024 LTPF Herbertsville and River Road The project is known as "2024 LTPF HERBERTSVILLE AND RIVER ROAD" in the Borough of Point Pleasant, Ocean County, New Jersey. Base Bid - This project consists of construction of new sidewalk, driveway reconstruction, roadway reconstruction, handicap ramps, landscaping reconstruction, traffic striping, signage, and storm drainage improvements along River Road and Herbertsville Road in the Borough of Point Pleasant, Ocean County, New Jersey. Construction shall include the following items: Base Bid 1. Clearing Site- Item shall include the removal and approved off-site disposal of all existing asphalt, concrete, and all else required to install the proposed improvements as shown on the plans. Construction shall occur in accordance with Section 201 - Clearing Site of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. All costs associated with removal of existing structures, saw cutting, and excavation to proper depths shall be included in the lump sum bid item "CLEARING SITE". 2. Mobilization - Item shall include preparatory work and operations, including moving personnel, equipment, supplies, and incidentals to the Project Limits. It also includes all other work performed and costs incurred before beginning work on various Items in the Contract. Mobilization shall occur in accordance with Section 154 - Mobilization of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. All costs associated with mobilization shall be included in the lump sum bid item "MOBILIZATION". 3. Test Pits (If & Where Directed) - Includes all costs required to make a test pit as shown on the Plans, or as directed by the Engineer, and shall include all stripping, excavation, removing of pavement, reusing excavated materials for backfill and embankments, disposing of excess materials, temporary restoration, and similar as required to make a test pit to locate subsurface structures and utilities that may be effected or interfere with the proposed construction. The work shall be as outlined in Section 202 - Excavation of the NJDOT "2019 Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction." The Contractor shall include all costs associated with the work in the unit price bid for "TEST PITS (IF & WHERE DIRECTED)". 4. Construction Signs - Item shall include Construction Signs as outlined in Section 159 -"Traffic Control" of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Costs for traffic control shall be included in the "CONSTRUCTION SIGNS" bid item. 5. Traffic Drums - Item shall include Traffic Drums as outlined in Section 159 -"Traffic Control" of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Costs for traffic control drums shall be included in the "TRAFFIC DRUMS" bid item. 6. HMA Milling, Less than 3" Thick - Item shall include milling at the locations as shown on the plans and as directed in the field to the full depth of the existing asphalt section. Construction shall occur in accordance with Section 401 - HOT MIX ASPHALT (HMA) COURSES of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. The costs of which shall be included in the square yardage bid item "HMA MILLING, LESS THAN 3" THICK". 9. Hot Mix Asphalt Surface Course, 9.5M64, 2" Thick - Shall include installation of hot mix asphalt surface course as shown on the plans and as required to complete the project. Construction shall be as outlined in Section 401 - Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Courses of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. The costs of which shall be included in the per ton bid item "HOT MIX ASPHALT SURFACE COURSE, 9.5M64, 2" THICK". Tack Coat shall be installed prior to paving. No separate payment shall be made for Tack Coat; the cost for same shall be included in the various items. 10. Hot Mix Asphalt Base Course, 12.5M64, 4" Thick - Item shall include installation of hot mix asphalt base course as shown on the plans and as required to complete the project. Construction shall be as outlined in Section 401 - Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Courses of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Item shall include installation of CSS1 Tack Coat immediately before beginning paving operations at all mill and overlay locations shown on the plans and as required to complete the project. Construction shall be as outlined in Section 401 - Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) Courses of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. The costs of which shall be included in the per ton bid item "HOT MIX ASPHALT BASE COURSE, 12.5M64, 4" THICK". No separate payment shall be made for Tack Coat. Costs for same shall be included in the various bid items. 11. Dense Graded Aggregate Base Course, 6" Thick - Shall include installation of dense graded aggregate base course to the appropriate depth to the limits of the proposed improvements as shown on the plans. Construction shall be as outlined in Section 302 - Aggregate Base Course of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. The costs of which shall be included in the square yardage bid item "DENSE GRADED AGGREGATE BASE COURSE, 6" THICK". 12. 8" X 9" X 18" Concrete Vertical Curb - Shall include concrete vertical curb as shown on theplans and details. Construction shall be as outlined in Section 607 - Curb of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. All costs associated with the installation of vertical curb as shown on the plans and detail shall be included in the per linear foot bid item "8" x 9" x 18" CONCRETE VERTICAL CURB". All costs associated with removal of any existing curbing shall be included in the lump sum bid item "CLEARING SITE". 13. Pervious Concrete Sidewalk, 4" Thick - Shall include installation of pervious concrete sidewalk, 4" thick as shown on the plans and details. Separate payment will not be made for excavation, compaction and dense graded aggregate, 4" thick. Construction shall be as outlined in Section 606- Sidewalks, Driveways, and Islands of the 2019 NJDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, and shall also conform to applicable industry standards for pervious concrete installation, including proper placement, curing, and jointing to maintain porosity and structural integrity. All costs associated with the installation of pervious concrete sidewalk, 4" thick as shown on the plans and details shall be included in the square yardage bid item "PERVIOUS CONCRETE The guaranty accompanying the bid proposal shall be given in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the maximum delivered price, but not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) and may be given at the option of the bidder by a certified check or a bid bond from a reputable insurance company licensed in the State of New Jersey.
