This project requires 24% DBE participation, or if the contract goal is not met, documented evidence of good faith efforts. The Complexity Factor for this project is 0. Phase I/II engineering services are required for various projects throughout District Three. The work is anticipated to include an emphasis on traffic capacity analysis and safety studies. This work may include collection of traffic data, vehicle classification, turning movements, pedestrian and bicycle usage, and existing roadway geometry. This work is also expected to include development of travel demand models, projecting future traffic volumes, predicting future Level of Service values, and other related tasks. In addition, this work may include performing safety reviews of intersections and roadway segments. Studies are anticipated to include recommended proposed improvements to increase safety and accommodate predicted multi-modal travel demand. It is estimated that this will be approximately 40% of the overall contract value.
