Residential Solid Waste Collection and Recycling Collection ALL BIDS must be accompanied by a consent of surety from a surety company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey and acceptable to the Borough of Demarest, and either a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check, in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the bid not to exceed $20,000 and made payable to the Borough of Demarest. Guarantee checks or bid bonds shall be applied against the damages incurred by the Borough, if the bidder fails to execute the contract and furnish bonds, as specified, within ten (10) days after the notifications of the contract award. All bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company acceptable to the Mayor and Council, that such surety company will provide the bidder with performance and payment bond as required in the specifications. All bids must include a non-collusion affidavit. THE Mayor and Council of the Borough of Demarest reserve the right to reject any and all bids and/or to waive technicalities and informalities in any bid for the best interest of the Borough of Demarest and to consider the competency and responsibility of the bidders in awarding the contract.
