Online Q&A Yes Q&A Deadline 08/06/2025 11:59 PM (PDT) Sacramento Regional Transit District (SacRT) announces that it will seek bids for the work entitled: FIRE EXTINGUISHER MAINTENANCE, REPAIR, AND TESTING General work description: provide Fire Extinguisher Maintenance, Repair, and Testing as specified in Section 2.0. Contractor license classification at time of Contract award must be C-16. The Contract term will be for 5 years. It is the policy of the U.S. Department of Transportation that Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), as defined in 49 C.F.R. Part 26, are encouraged to participate in the performance of contracts financed in whole or in part with federal funds. As a condition of federal grant assistance, SacRT has adopted a DBE program for SacRT's federally-funded contracts. Consequently, the DBE requirements of 49 C.F.R. Part 26 apply to this contract. No DBE goal has been established for this Contract. However, if subcontracting opportunities exist for the work required for this Contract, Bidders/Proposers must ensure that DBEs have the opportunity to participate in the performance of this Contract. Contractor must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, disability or age in the award and performance of subcontracts. Attachment 6 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program Contract Provisions sets out the requirements Contractor must meet if any certified DBE firms perform on this Contract. Regardless of whether DBEs will participate in the contract, Bidders must complete: Bid Form 7 SacRT Federal Solicitation Bidders List. Failure to submit the form with the required information will render bids or proposals nonresponsive. A Bidder/Proposer must submit the following forms prior to Contract award if a DBE will be participating: DBE Commitments Form (DBE Form 1a or 1b) (49 CFR Section 26.55) Confirmation by DBE (DBE Form 2) or copy of DBE's quote or Form 60 DBE Commercially Useful Function Certification (DBE Form 3) SacRT does not prequalify subcontractor firms. However, Prime Contractors are encouraged to review the Prospective Bidders list online to find interested firms for subcontracting opportunities. SacRT hereby notifies all Bidders it will affirmatively ensure that, in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this solicitation, all contractors will be afforded full opportunity to submit a bid in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, creed, sex, disability, age, or national origin in consideration for an award.
