Work under this contract shall include furnishing all labor, equipment and materials required to completely demolish the existing boardwalk and to construct a new timber boardwalk inclusive of access ramps and stairs between 16th and 18th Avenues in the City of North Wildwood as shown and as detailed in the contract documents. Reconstruction of this phase spans from mid-block 24th Ave. to 26th Ave. Minority and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. The Bid includes complete demolition of the existing reinforced concrete and timber boardwalk structure and access ramps and stairs and construction of a new natural hard wood boardwalk including ADA compliant access improvements, timber hardwood piles, timber hardwood framing, timber hardwood decking, aluminum railings, site lighting and electrical improvements, concrete pathways, and all else necessary and incidental to the intended improvements. All bids must be accompanied by bid security. The bid security shall be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond executed by the principal and surety company attorney in fact and witnessed and attested to with the power of attorney attached, in the amount of 5% of the amount of the bid and made payable to the 'City of North Wildwood. The successful Bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and 100% Labor and Material Payment Bond in conformity with the requirements of the Contract Documents. The City of North Wildwood reserves the right to reject any bid pursuant to law and all bids may be rejected pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:11-13.2. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening thereof.
