Site work for a water / sewer project in Phoenix, Arizona. Conceptual plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The PPWTP is located at 28101 N. 63rd Avenue, Phoenix, AZ. The selected firm may also perform design and construction administration services for the recommended improvements. PROJECT DESCRIPTION The PPWTP is a conventional water treatment facility that treats Central Arizona Project (CAP) water and has a current reliable capacity of 54 million gallons per day (mgd). The plant is a City of Glendale facility, located in the City of Phoenix and under their jurisdiction. The PPWTP was originally commissioned in 1986, with a rated capacity of 10-mgd. Since then, the plant has undergone three major expansions, the first in 1996, the second in 2007, and the third in 2023, increasing the reliable capacity from 39-mgd to 54-mgd. The additional 15-mgd is part of Peoria's CAP allocation and exclusively serves the City of Peoria. The Consultant will evaluate the treatment processes and critical treatment components and make recommendations for plant improvements and operational procedures. After the evaluation phase is complete the Consultant may develop design plans based on the recommended improvements and perform construction administration services. SCOPE OF WORK The selected firm (Consultant) will work closely with various City departments, including Engineering, Water Services, and others, as needed, during all phases of the project. (i.e., assessment, design, and construction). The City will utilize the services of the Consultant for performing an assessment, and design, and construction administration. The City will also conduct a brief walk-through of the Pyramid Peak Water Treatment Plant site. Attendance is limited to a maximum of 2 attendees per firm. Because City staff may not have time to respond to individual inquiries regarding the scope outside of the pre-submittal conference and walk-through, it is recommended that interested firms have a representative attend. City operations, maintenance and engineering staff will be available to answer questions. Questions pertaining to the RFQ or selection process should be directed in writing to the Engineering Department, City of Glendale, by email to EngineeringDept@glendaleaz.com. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
