experienced Engineering Firms (hereinafter “Firms”), licensed in the State of North Carolina, interested in providing on-call professional engineering and planning services for the City's water infrastructure projects over the next three (3) years. A Master Agreement for On-Call Engineering/Planning Services shall be utilized for the requested services. Eligible firms must have demonstrated experience in engineering and planning services for infrastructure projects as described in the Scope of Work. The firm selected shall have experience in, but not limited to, water, wastewater, stormwater, asset condition, transportation, parks and recreation, land use planning, structure, and public facilities. The selected firm will help with all potential preliminary and subsequent post-award work (funding application and administration, analytical reports such as environmental/biological/wetland, engineering design, surveying, Geotech, easements, CA/CO, studies, planning). The selected firm shall also be knowledgeable with all state and federal regulations and requirements along with uniform guidance as needed as well as a good understanding of the City Code of Ordinances, State and Federal permit regulations, and all other practices that pertain to various projects. Firms interested in submitting a response to this RFQ shall provide their primary contact information for the purpose of notification of any addenda. All qualification packages shall be submitted in a sealed envelope addressed to City of Asheboro, Water Resources Division, Attn: Michael D. Rhoney, PE, 146 N Church St, Asheboro, NC 27204- 1106 no later than 10:00 am EST August 28, 2025 and must be marked in the left hand corner on the outside of the envelope as follows: "SOQ for On-Call Engineering/Planning Services/Attn: Michael D. Rhoney, PE". The City reserves the right to reject any and all responses to this RFQ.
