Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The work of this project includes reducing concrete cross slopes to allow ADA regulation, adding and removing curb where needed to allow for a more accessible route, eliminating gaps in the accessible routes and replacing tactile pavers. The Work of this Contract is located along Blue Line LRT at the following stations: o Nicollet Mall Station o 46 th St Station o VA Medical Center Station o 30 th Ave Station The Work will be located on COUNCIL-owned property and within the public right-of-way of the City of Minneapolis, Hennepin County, and MnDOT. SUMMARY OF THE WORK A. The Work of this Project includes concrete flatwork to update these station locations to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards at these four (4) stations. The areas to be worked on are adjacent to the LRT railroad tracks. Work will only be allowed to occur during September 24, 2025, 2200 n October 3, 2025, 0200. All locations shall have traffic control in place, and monitored, until the locations are paved back to the satisfaction of the COUNCIL. B. The Work SHALL NOT OCCUR during normal business hours. Refer to section 1.6 CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE for requirements relating to when the work shall be performed. C. All traffic control shall be provided by CONTRACTOR at CONTRACTORiS expense. D. CONTRACTOR will be required to complete the COUNCILis On-Track Safety training course as discussed in Section 01 4133. E. All work must be accomplished compliant with OSHA regulations, as expressed in 29CFR1910 and 29CFR1926. Further, all contractors must identify their Designated Competent Person to the CAR. F. Protect existing inlets with approved sediment control BMPs. Dispose captured sediment in a location approved by the CAR.
