Demolition and site work for a municipal facility in Canby, Oregon. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; and for site work for a municipal facility.
Metro is inviting bids for a Contractor who will provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to demolish and remove all debris from the Lower Pudding Natural Area Property. The project is required to be completed by October 31, 2025 Project Location: 23675 S Knights Bridge Rd Canby, OR 97013 Clackamas County Tax Lot ID: 31E31 00801 Any questions, please submit to bidsandproposals@oregonmetro.gov by August 19, 2025. 1. The Contractor shall demolish and legally dispose of the structures, construction materials, appliances, furniture, trash, fencing, concrete, asphalt, gravel, and all items described in the SOW at the above listed address and shown in the attached set of plans. 2. The contractor shall protect all plantings during all phases of work. 3. The contractor shall protect the blue Metro property markers. No work or equipment shall extend beyond the markers and impact the property to the south. 4. The Contractor shall decommission the septic tank(s) to the specifications found in the septic tank section. 5. The Contractor shall remove the structures and all building materials including but not limited to concrete, rebar, vapor barriers, lumber, siding, roofing, windows, doors, drywall, insulation, cabinets, countertops, sinks, bathtubs, showers, toilets, appliances, plumbing pipes, wiring, fencing, posts, gates, yard spigots, built in and loose furniture, trash, and all construction debris such as: wood, glass, metal, plastic, cellulose, insulation, asphalt, etc. associated with the demolition. 6. Glass: All glass including shards are required to be removed from the site, by hand if necessary. It is strongly recommended that window frames with intact glass be removed from the structure prior to demolition so glass shards are minimal. 7. Hazards: All hazards such as small pieces of building materials that are sharp, piercing, trip hazards, etc. are required to be removed. This will likely need to be done by hand with multiple passes. The site will likely be used for public recreation and wildlife habitat and must be free of all hazards. 8. Posts Removal: o Wood posts (with no concrete) need to either be fully removed or cut 1' below grade. o Wood post encased in concrete need to be fully removed from the ground including removal of concrete. o Metal posts (with no concrete) need to be fully removed. o Metal post encased in concrete need to be fully removed from ground including removal of concrete. o All voids and depressions need to be backfilled with fill dirt and/or gravel and compacted to match grade. 9. All measurements and quantities are approximate. 10. Existing topography is based on LiDAR survey data. Locations of all features are approximate based on site observations and aerial photos. 11. Existing and proposed contours are shown in 1-foot intervals. 12. No dogs or other pets allowed on site and no smoking permitted onsite. Structures to be removed: o Wood Barn: o 65'x65'x23'H o Post & Beam construction (wood) o Wood siding (1) side, Metal roof o Concrete center footer, slabs o Bathroom: 14'x5'x8'H Toilet, Sink, Well pressure tank, water heater, service panel Slab floor o Metal Barn: o 57'x40'x20'H o Post & Beam construction (metal) o Metal siding (1) side, Metal roof o Concrete footings, slab o Sileage Pit: o 174'x35' o Concrete back wall o Unknown depth (assumed 6') o Asphalt floor Other Items to be Removed: o Concrete: o Pad West of Barns = 128'x9'x6" o Pad Left Wood Barn = 67'x9'x6" o Pad Right Wood Barn = 110'x12'x6" o Footing Wood Barn = 60'x24'x12" o (8) Metal Barn Footings = 4'x4'x24" with rebar o Bathroom = 14'x5'x6" o Parking Pad South Wood Barn = 40'x20'x6" o Well Casing Pad (Pieces) = 4'x4'x6" o (1) Jersey Block (if present) = 6'x2'x24" o Pad Metal Barn = 56'x40'x6" o Sileage Pit Wall = 36'long x 6'high x 8" thick (estimate) o Asphalt: o 174'x35' (silage pit) o Gravel: o South of Concrete Parking Pad = 25'x12' o Driveway Edge South of Barns = 85'x9' o Front of Barns Driveway = 150'x18' o Gravel Strip Along Road = 225'x32' o Miscellaneous: o Small boat o Small Concrete Pots Concrete / Asphalt / Gravel / Mason to be removed: o All concrete, asphalt, gravel, and mason including any gravel bedding material o Extra care needs to be given to areas that are close to trees. Precautions need to be implemented to ensure equipment does not harm tree trunks, branches, or roots. o All gravel under concrete and asphalt to be removed
