The work covered by this Contract consists of furnishing, delivering, and installing all materials, equipment and products for the BIG RIDGE PUMP STATION #14 SETTLEMENT REPAIR shown on the drawings and as described in these Specifications. The work includes the following major elements Preparation and Demolition (including groundwater dewatering), Bottom Slab Repair, Wetwell Wall Repair (using Pneumatically Applied Concrete), Re-Installation and Refinishing of the Pumps, Piping, and Control System Components, Miscellaneous Other Restoration Activities, Final clean-up and restoration of the project site to "as-found" conditions as acceptable to the City of Chattanooga The Bid Documents also permit a Voluntary Alternative for the Substitution of a Synthetic Wetwell Lining System, The scope of work shall consist of, but not be limited to, the following major elements: Preparation and Demolition (includ-ing groundwater dewatering), Bottom Slab Repair, Wetwell Wall Repair (using Pneu-matically Applied Concrete), Re-Installation and Refinishing of the Pumps, Piping, and Control System Components, Miscellaneous Other Restoration Activities Bid Documents Permit a Voluntary Alternative for the Substitution of a Synthetic Wetwell Lining System No part of the purchase price will be re-funded. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond, prepared on the form of Bid Bond attached to the Contract Documents or a Surety Company's Standard Bid Bond, duly executed by the Bidder as principal and having as surety thereon a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Tennessee and listed as a certified company in the latest issue of U.S. Treas-ury Circular 570, in the amount of five per-cent of the Bid. All bidders must be licensed and shall comply with all requirements of the State of Tennessee Contractor's Licensing Act. Any contract or contracts awarded under this Advertisement for Bids are expected to be funded with local funds in addition to funds indicated elsewhere. The Owner will in no way be liable for any costs incurred by any bidder in the prepa-ration of its Bid in response to this Invita-tion to Bid. The successful Bidder for this Contract will be required to furnish a satisfactory Per-formance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the Bid. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive informalities and to readvertise.
