Currently, an 8" force main lands into the upstream manhole (manhole B8SMH31 located at the intersection of 92nd Ave and 58th St.) which has frequent cycle run times causing odor issues. Directly downstream from this manhole, the city has 612 linear feet of gravity main that doesn't have appropriate fall. The city seeks to have the 8" force main be rerouted and extended 1,250 linear feet to a downstream manhole (manhole B8SMH17) which is directly adjacent to the influent flow to Master Station #10 (located at 9171 60th St. N.). With the relocation of this 8" force main, the city anticipates the need to have the 612 linear feet of 12" gravity main be reinstalled to achieve appropriate fall. This project will require 3 manholes to be replaced with modifications to 2 additional bookend manholes at the distal portions of this gravity line. 11 service lateral connections will need to be adjusted and reconnected to the new portion of gravity pipe, providing minimal interruptions to these services during the project. Most of this pipe work will be under a roadway. This project will also require an aerial crossing over a Pinellas County Water Management District Channel. This pipeline reinstallation project proposes the demolition of 612 linear feet of 12" sanitary sewer pipe (15' to 16' Depth), 3 existing 4' diameter sanitary manholes, 11 6"x12" wye connections (lateral connections) and the subsequent installation of 612 linear feet of 12" sanitary C900 PVC pipe, 3 4' diameter sanitary manholes, and 11 6"x12" wye connection for lateral service reconnection in the same location, adjusting the grade to provide appropriate fall as detailed in the attached plans. All other details are specified in the plans related to sheeting and shoring, valves and fittings and details related to the aerial crossing.
