Site work for a water / sewer project in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and services necessary to install a drainage system to prevent erosion in the patio area at the Northeast Fisheries Science Center Woods Hole Laboratory. The scope includes core drilling through the seawall granite for a 4-inch drain, installing 30-36 linear feet of trench drain, two catch basins, and underground drain piping connecting all components. The contractor will excavate and install a stone base, backfill and regrade affected areas, remove and reinstall flagstone pavers, and restore landscaping including sod. All installed plumbing must be tested and commissioned to verify proper drainage function. The contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits, approvals, and inspections, including NOAA/NMFS design approval prior to commencement. All materials and supplies must be pre-approved by the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC). Work must comply with industry standards and applicable local, state, and federal regulations. Deliverables include a functioning drainage system and documentation of materials used. The project must be completed within 45-60 days of the Notice to Proceed. Working hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, excluding federal holidays. The contractor must maintain a clean and safe worksite, adhere to safety regulations including OSHA standards, and submit a safety plan five days prior to starting work. A. The Northeast Fisheries Science Center (NEFSC) Woods Hole Laboratory is located at 166 Water Street Woods Hole, MA 02543. B. The National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), a part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) of the Department of Commerce (DOC), is a governmental agency charged with the mission of stewardship for living marine resources. C. The Contractor shall be fully knowledgeable of all requirements of the contract documents and shall make themselves aware of all job site conditions that will affect their work. The contractor shall verify all dimensions prior to submitting a quote. D. The Contractor shall verify all dimensions and equipment prior to submitting bid quotation. E. This project involves installing a drainage system to prevent erosion of the Woods Hole patio area. The final product shall include core drilling, installing trench drain, (2) catch basins, drain piping, excavation and stone base, backfilling, removal, cutting and reinstallation of flagstone pavers, and repairing affected landscape. F. All equipment, equipment rentals, material, manpower, permits, testing, and fees shall be the responsibility of the contractor A. Pre-Work and Permit Application The contractor shall be fully knowledgeable of all contract requirements. Contractor shall at all times ensure work is accomplished in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract in a safe and professional manner. Contractor is responsible for damage to any Government equipment, supplies, or facilities caused by Contractor personnel. The contractor shall ensure all required skill sets are obtained and maintained for performance under this contract. The contractor shall obtain NOAA/NMFS design approval in writing prior to project commencement. Quality Control is the responsibility of the Contractor . The Contractor is responsible for all incidental repairs. All supplies, materials, and equipment for this project will be prior approved by the Technical Point of Contact (TPOC). B. Construction Contractor shall install drainage system per drawing. Contractor shall core drill seawall granite for (1) 4" drain. Contractor shall install 30-36 linear feet of trench drain and (2) catch basin drains. Contractor shall install drain piping in ground connecting catch basins, trench drain and drain through seawall. Contractor shall excavate and install stone base under trench drain and catch basin locations. Contractor shall backfill and regrade all affected areas. Contractor shall remove, cut, and reinstall affected flagstone pavers. Contractor shall repair all affected landscapes to include sod. Contractor shall test and commission all installed plumbing proving drainage function. TPOC will approve test. Location: Northeast Fisheries Science Center Woods Hole Laboratory 166 Water Street, Woods Hole, MA 02543 Project Magnitude.
