Remodeling and renovation of a municipal facility in Ogden, Utah. Completed plans call for the remodel of a municipal facility; and for the renovation of a municipal facility.
Ogden City is accepting sealed bids from qualified Contractors interested in providing bids for the remodeling of the Community Services Building with experience in ballistic upgrade. All work must meet current industry standards and all applicable federal, state and local rules and regulations. Refer to project manual. Licensed contractors submitting bids must be able to comply with insura1nce and bonding requirements and have experience with commercial remodeling projects. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bids that best serve its convenience and/or is found to be in the best interest of the City. A. The contract documents indicate the extent of electrical work. Provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision and service necessary for a complete electrical system as described in divisions 26, 27, and 28. A. Extent of electrical connections for equipment include all final electrical connectionsfor all equipment having electrical requirements including, but not necessarily limitedtothefollowing:1. Equipment specified under all divisions of the contract. Refer to other divisions for specific electrical requirements. 2. Owner-furnished equipment. A. Extent of raceways is indicated by drawings and schedules. B. Types of raceways in this section include the followings: 1. Rigid Metal Conduit 2. PVC Externally Coated Rigid Steel Conduit 3. Intermediate Metal Conduit 4. Electrical Metallic Tubing 5. Flexible Metal Conduit 6. Liquid-tight Flexible Metal Conduit 7. Rigid Non-metallic Conduit 8. Electrical Non-metallic Tubing A. This section includes building wires and cables and associated connectors, splices, andterminations for wiring systems rated 600 V and less. B. Types of conductors and cables in this section include the following: 1. Copper Conductors. C. Applications for conductors and cables required for project include: 1. Branch Circuits. A. Extent of electrical boxes and fittings work is indicated by drawings and schedules. B. Types of electrical boxes and fittings in this section include the following: 1. Outlet Boxes 2. Junction Boxes 3. Pull Boxes 4. Floor Boxes 5. Conduit Bodies 6. Bushings 7. Locknuts 8. Knockout Closures 9. Miscellaneous Boxes and Fittings A. Extent of wiring device work is indicated by drawings and schedules. B. Types of electrical wiring devices in this section include the following: 1. Toggle Switches 2. Receptacles 3. Transient Voltage Surge Suppression (TVSS) Receptacles 4. Floor Service Outlets 5. Poke-Through Assemblies 6. Dimmers 7. Special Purpose Outlets 8. Multioutlet Assemblies 9. Cord Caps and Connectors 10. Low Voltage Lighting Control Devices A. Extent of overcurrent protective devices is indicated by drawings and schedules andisspecifiedherein. B. Type of overcurrent protective devices in this section include the following: 1. Molded Case Circuit Breakers 2. Fuses A. Extent of grounding work is indicated by drawings and schedules and is specifiedherein. B. Ground the complete electrical installation including the systemneutral, metallic conduitsandraceways, boxes, fittings, devices, cabinets, equipment, and separately derivedsystemsinaccordance with the NEC and all other applicable codes to provide a permanent, continuous, low impedance, grounding system. C. Provide grounding system such that the resistance from the service entrance groundbus, through the grounding electrode to earth is not greater than 5 ohms. The contractor will be responsible for remodeling the existing Community Services Building, which includes ballistic security upgrades as outlined in the engineered plans in Exhibit A. The contractor will be responsible for: o Reviewing construction or specification documents prior to submitting a bid. o Attending the mandatory pre-bid meeting (as applicable) to obtain relevant information. o Competitively bidding required work, negotiating and contracting with subcontractors to accomplish the work, as applicable. o Meeting all federal requirements for federally funded projects/contracts (as applicable). o Submitting timely invoices under net 30 term payment. o Completing the Project on time and within budget per the plans and specifications.
