The Toledo Zoo is soliciting sealed proposals for the Parking Lot Access Project. The bid package includes all supervision, materials, labor, and equipment for the Parking Lot Access Project. Work shall consist of site prep, sidewalk prep and concrete, top dressing and reseeding and gate fabrication. A certified check, cashier's check, or a letter of credit, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, or a bid bond in accordance with all applicable sections of the Ohio Revised Code is required. Particular attention should be given to Ohio Revised Code Section 307.88, 153.54, 153.57, and 153.571. If your proposal is accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or a letter of credit, a performance and payment bond for 100% of your bid proposal will be required. Bids are subject to the terms and conditions of the Bidding Documents and the terms and conditions are hereby incorporated into the Invitation to Bid the same as if written in full herein. The owner may reject any and all bids on any basis and without disclosure of a reason. The Owner may waive any informality in the bidding to the extent permitted by law, or accept the bid which is the "lowest and best" and which embraces such combination of alternates as may promote the best interests of the Owner. Question Deadline 08/18/2025 No interpretations of meanings of drawings, specifications, or other documents shall be made orally. Requests for such interpretation shall be in writing via email or fax to the Owner's Representatives. To be given consideration, requests for clarification shall be made not less than 96 hours prior to bid due date, excluding Saturdays and Sundays. The Scope of Work includes but is not necessarily limited to all materials, labor, equipment, supervision, profit, overhead, insurance, and specified warranties to complete the following: 1. Perform all cut and fill as required to maintain proper drainage on the site and so slopes are between 0% and 5%. Prepare all subgrades as specified. Fill to subgrade using specified materials. 2. Excess spoils to remain on the site. Use excess spoils to grade around sidewalk or create stock pile as indicated on SA-1. 3. Control dewatering and drainage of the site by providing positive drainage and run off to controlled locations. 4. Compact and roll daily all excavated areas for protection from moisture. 5. Protect or brace existing utilities affected by this contract work as required. Repair any utilities and field tile disturbed/damaged during installation of this scope. 6. Includes repair, connection or removal of any field tile found, disturbed, or damaged during installation of all utilities. 7. Includes all formwork, concrete expansion joints, control joints, sealants, mesh and reinforcement steel as specified and required. Includes caulking of all expansion and control joints within all concrete in this scope of work as specified. 8. Furnish and place concrete sealers, curing and hardener compounds as shown or specified. The Schedule of Work, including that of this Contractor shall be completed according to the schedule requirements contained below and on the agreed upon overall project schedule. The Contractor shall include any overtime necessary to complete work according to dates below and the overall project schedule. All changes to schedule must be approved by Owner's representative.
