General Description - The work to be performed under this contract shall consist of the full depth reconstruction on West Union Avenue and all activities necessary to procure, excavate, and install new subgrade and pavement within the existing edges of road in accordance with the contract documents and the applicable City of Englewood Public Works manual. Due to high volumes of heavy vehicles present on this street, a complete full depth reconstruction of the Union Avenue is necessary to accommodate the heavy vehicle volumes and fix the underlying subgrade. All the work will be within existing edges of the road and Gutter and sidewalk work is not part of this project. Contractor will be required to coordinate construction activities with adjacent businesses, trash removal companies, school district, HOA, Metro Districts, and other City maintenance projects if applicable. A schedule of sequencing of all work shall be submitted at or before the project pre-construction meeting and approved by the City prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed.
