Bid Bond shall be mailed or dropped off in person, before the bid close. If bid bond is not received within 48 hours od closing, bidders proposal will not be considered. CHECKS ARE NOT CASHED. The bid bond is used as a guarantee that the bidder, if awarded the contract, will furnish a satisfactory Performance and Payment Bond as described below; will execute the contract; and proceed with the work. Upon failure to do so, the offeror shall forfeit the deposit or amount of the Bid Bond as liquidated damages. Failure to include the Bid Bond may result in finding the bid none-responsive to the City without further evaluation (a) The purpose of the pre-bid meeting is to provide potential Bidders with an opportunity to ask questions and obtain clarification about any aspect of this Request for Bid. Any changes or clarifications resulting from this pre-bid meeting will be issued in a written addendum. It is important that all Bidders have a clear understanding of the scope of work and requirements of this solicitation. Attendance at the pre-bid meeting will be a pre-requisite for submitting a Bid; attendance will be evidenced by the Contractor's signin and MUST HAVE A BUSINESS CARD WITH CONTACT INFORMATION. SCOPE OF WORK (SOW) The Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment and labor incidental to complete all work described herein, made part of the Contract Documents. The Contractor shall complete the work with industry standard practices in a professional workmanlike manner in accordance with the provisions and specifications of the Contract. Before executing this Contract, the Contractor must fully understand the Contract Documents and Specifications regarding the work. No adjustment or modification to the Contract Documents shall be allowed for any misunderstanding of the work or the terms and provisions contained in the Contract Documents. The selection of the materials, equipment and labor for all work shall be in accordance with the Contract Documents and all City, Federal and State of Colorado laws applicable to the work being performed by Contractor. The Contractor understands and agrees that the City may modify, delete or add various portions of the work at the City's discretion. Bid prices SHALL REMAIN FIRM. Price adjustments for fuel, inflation or raw material price increases will not be allowed.
