The Project includes the following Work: Bids are for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and performance of work for the replacement of the existing sewer lines in the Town of Luke as identified within the bidding plans and technical specifications prepared by RK&K, LLP. Major items include Mobilization; Traffic Control; Erosion & Sediment Control; Audio Visual Taping; 3,000 LF of 8" SDR 35 PVC Gravity Sewer Line; 15 EA 4' Diameter Manholes; 40 EA 6" Sewer Cleanouts; 350 LF of 6" SDR 35 PVC Mainline to Cleanout; 2,000 CY of Aggregate for Backfill; 3,000 LF of Type A Trench Repair; 1,200 TON of Type A Asphalt Overlay; 10,000 SY of Asphalt Milling; and all other appurtenances and incidentals to complete the work. The plans and specifications are intended to cover a complete project, and it shall be thoroughly understood that a failure to mention specifically any work which would naturally be required to complete the project shall not relieve the Contractor of his responsibility to perform the work. The Project has an expected duration of one-hundred eighty 180 days and will use the two-envelope system for the bidding process. All Bids shall remain open for one-hundred fifty (150) days. There will be wage rates required for this project. A five percent (5%) Bid Bond or certified cashier's check must accompany all Bids. Prospective Bidders are advised that the contract awarded under this Advertisement for Bids is to be funded by Maryland Department of Environment (MDE) and United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, which prohibit discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex, or national origin. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act and the Contract Work Hours Standards Act.
