Site Address: 2403 Aviation Boulevard Each bid must be made on a form furnished by the City and must be accompanied by a bid bond, a cashier's check or certified check of an Iowa bank or a bank chartered under the laws of the United States, or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States, in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, made payable to the City Treasurer of the City of Sioux City, Iowa. The check or draft may be cashed by the City Treasurer as liquidated damages in the event the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within the ten (10) days after notice of award and post bond satisfactory to the City ensuring the faithful fulfillment of the contract. The Utilization of Targeted Small Business (TSB) Enterprises on Non-Federal Aid Projects (Third-Party State Assisted Project), will apply and is hereby made a part of the project. There is not an identified TSB project goal, however the proposer is expected to promote participation with documented efforts that must be submitted with the bid proposal per the specifications. The work on this project shall begin upon receipt of the Notice to Proceed and be fully completed by April 29, 2026. There is no winter work on this project. The project is located at Sioux Gateway Airport, 2403 Aviation Boulevard and includes the demolition, construction, and replacement of areas "F" and "G" roof assembly. The roof assembly is a thermoplastic polyolefin membrane, tapered polyisocyanurate board insulation over base course of polyisocyanurate board insulation, and existing structure. No winter work. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder. However, the City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, re-advertise for new bids and to waive informalities that may be in the best interest of the City. By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa and to Iowa domestic labor. QA date - 9 - 2 - 2025 All questions about the meaning or intent of the bidding documents shall be submitted to the Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda, via the contact information provided on the plan holder's list. Questions received less than seven (7) days prior to the date for opening bids may not be answered.
