Closing Time: 1:00 PM (NT) Question Acceptance Deadline 2025/08/22 01:00:00 PM NDT Work on this project includes, but is not limited to, Exterior Renovations on 18A & 18B, 20A & 20B, and 24A & 24B Duchess Drive, Stephenville NL. The ten percent tender bid security (10%), if submitted in the form of a Certified Cheque by the successful bidder will be retained as a performance security for the duration of a contract. No other performance security will be required. Upon satisfactory completion of the Work the performance security, with interest, will be returned to the Contractor. Owner's rights respecting the performance security shall be in addition to, and not in substitution for or limitation of, any other right Owner may have for default of the Contractor. A Performance Bond will also be accepted in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the contract price. The Performance Security is to be received not later than two (2) weeks after the award of the contract by the letter of intent and prior to the formal execution of the agreement. No work is to be undertaken until the Performance Security has been received. Commercial General Liability Insurance: Without restricting the generality of Section 5 - Indemnity hereof, the Contractor shall maintain, at its expense, Commercial General Liability Insurance acceptable to NLHC to protect NLHC against all liabilities or damages in respect of injuries to persons (including injuries resulting in death) in the minimum amount of two million dollars ($2,000,000) with respect to the operations of the Contractor and/or its Sub-Contractors and in respect of damages to property arising out of performance of the Work. This insurance shall include NLHC and the occupant of the property as Additional Insured. The Contractor shall not commence any work until a Certificate of Insurance, obtained at the Contractor's expense, has been received and approved by NLHC as specified herein.
