Renovation of an educational facility in Albany, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 8,790-square-foot educational facility.
The scope of the Alumni House Elevator includes rehabilitating the existing hydraulic elevator to a fully functional state, renovating the cab, and modernize all controls to comply with ADA and the 2020 BCNYS. The Alumni House has two main levels with a double-pitched roof that has a maximum elevation of 34 feet above the entry floor level. The structure is approximately 8,790 GSF and was constructed in 1975. All work of this Contract herein shall be started and substantially completed for each venue and work location listed below during the following dates: Alumni House - Uptown Campus All work for this Project must be Fully Complete no later than 05/02/2026. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 18.9% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 11.1% SDVOB 6 % Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Security will be required for each bid in an amount not less than five (5) percent of the Total Bid. All work shall be in accordance with construction drawings and specifications. Contractor must be able to secure a performance bond for the full amount of their bid and should be prepared to anticipate a value in excess of $700,000 for this project. Please note that this project is exempt from the Wicks Law. Contacts made to other staff regarding this procurement may disqualify the firm and affect future procurements with government entities in the State of New York. It is the policy of the State of New York and the State University of New York to encourage minority business enterprise participation in this project by contractors, subcontractors and suppliers, and all bidders are expected to cooperate in implementing this policy.
